We talked about the importance of inbound links for your website optimization. Now that you have had a chance to start your inbound link acquisition campaign and you are starting in get those recommendations from other sites, I’d like you to think about “deep linking.”
We’ve talked about having links to your home page and we talked about links to an order page for a free report. Consider the valuable information you have on some of your other web pages. You can use that information to make sure you have links coming in to as many pages as possible. Think about it—if inbound links are recommendations to your site, what does it tell a search engine when other web sites are linking to different pages on your site? That you obviously have lots of worthwhile content.
As you go out to your contacts requesting inbound links make sure you bring up some worthwhile information that you have on your website their customers might be interested in…and then point them to that particular page of your site for the inbound link.
“Deep linking” helps increase your website optimization.

About a month ago I was conducting a seminar in Cambridge, MA and we started talking about blogs. I mentioned I was having trouble finding my voice finding a topic I wanted to concentrate on—there are so many topics of interest.
I originally thought I would concentrate on marketing tips—especially ideas and execution of a good marketing constant contact (or drip) campaign.
But I’ve been finding in my seminars, though lots of attendees do ask about how to run a good communication campaign I’ve been getting more questions on Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Therefore, I am going to spend some time on more hints and tips to raise your website rankings. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. I’ve found my voice.
A great tip to help with your SEO is to make sure that you have a Sitemap feed on your site. What this feed does is list all of the pages on your Web site that you want the search engines to know about. Sure, the search engines should be able to find all of your pages by following the links, but it still helps to have the sitemap there. Remember the search engines look for the easy way—just as we do.
Visit my blog every few weeks for new updates.
